Week 3

This week Team Wolfpack went on their first field trip to the Calusa Nature Center.

The weather was great and there was an overall positive sensation amongst our fellow classmates.

In the nature trail, we were able to observe a variety of organisms from both the animal and plant kingdom.
Here are some photos taken by our team members:

Joe: "It is a good representation of natural Florida, with many different ecosystems. I especially like getting to see the large birds up close: the eagles, owls, hawks, and vultures."

Katie: "The field trip to Calusa Natur center helped me learn more about the plants around me and I even notice them everyday now that I know the species. Everywhere I drive in the area I recognize the Alligator burrows especially. "

Cesar: "It was a great educational experience, I am especially grateful for expanding my knowledge about Poison Ivy, and Virginia Creeper. I think this information will be useful one day."

Vanessa: "Personally, I am not allergic to poison ivy but have witnessed others who had a horrible reaction to the plant. I feel more knowledgeable after finding out that the Virginia Creeper plant can help the ease the poisonous reaction poison ivy causes. I especially enjoyed being able to pet the snake at the end of our trip".
Team Wolfpack is very much appreciative for this great opportunity to bond with nature!
